Hey everyone, it is time for another “App of the Week” feature. Sorry it is a bit late this week, I was celebrating my 24th birthday yesterday with my family and decided to take a 1 day hiatus from working on the site. However, it is Monday where I am which means back to work I go. Earlier this past week, we got an email from a developer about a new game and after looking it over, I thought that I would do the “App of the Week” feature on it. The honors go to the new 3D game “Vampire Rush: The Adventures of Capt. Greg” developed by A-Steroids.

What is the game about:

Well, according to the Developer, Vampire Rush is a cross between two popular genres: Tower Defense and Survival Action. Your basic mission is to defend the gates that lead from the Vampire Underworld to the world of the living. In order to do that, the player much come up with strategic tower building skills that will help you survive attacks and learn to defend by battling through sword fights. You will encounter many types of enemies from werewolves to vampire bloodsuckers that you will have to fight and as you move up the ranks by winning battles, you will be able to upgrade your hero with different weapons of sort.

- 4 upgradable Tower types. Use on the map to form your main defense

- 9 upgradable skills, including special abilities like Fire Powder, Freeze Reagent, etc

- 5 enemy types, from Vampire Minions to terrifying Lords and Werewolves

Why play this game?

First of all, the game is fun and if you are someone who enjoyes fantasy, role-playing, tower defense, and/or survival type games…this game is for you. Secondly, the graphics absolutly pop on the SAMOLED screen. Samsung has said before that the SAMOLED screens are designed for 3D gaming and this game will make you believe that from the rich colors and smooth graphics to the attention to detail. This game is a winner in the looks department.

A-Steroids is a small micro-game development studio that has produced games for the iPhone, Android, and is now developing for the Bada platform to take advantage of the Wave’s SAMOLED screen which is perfect for 3D gaming. The developer has an impressive lineup and seems to be very active with app updates and giving users a fun gaming experience.
