The “App of the Week” for this week is the Accuweather clock and widget! I must say that it is one of the most beautifully designed apps and widgets I have seen yet for Bada. While most people will probably still use Weatherbug to get indepth weather coverage, the Accuweather widget is nice for an on-the-go quick check of the weather.
On the home screen, you get a nice analog clock with time dials, today’s date, a beautiful picture of the weather forecast for that day, and the forecasted hi/lo. Below the clock, the city is displayed along with the time is was last updated.
When you click the widget, it opens the Accuweather application and again, the design is absolutely wonderful! It is clean, easy to see and use, and just looks great! The main part of the app will show the current conditions and temperature but below that, you will see an extended forecast along with options to view the weather hour by hour, radar/satellite, and a detailed forecast.
The application and widget can be set to update every 3, 6, 12, and 24 hours and you can have multiple cities as well.
Pros:
- Clean and easy design
- Accuweather is a reliable source
- Easy on the battery
- Beautiful
Cons
- Somewhat limited in features
- Some of the links open up the browser instead of staying within the app
App Information
- Price: FREE
- Size: 4.32MB
- Category: Utilities
- Badaforums Rating: 4.5 out 5
Overall, this is one of the most beautiful widgets on Bada and it opens into one of the most beautiful and easy to use apps for weather. I highly recommend it and you can download it in the Samsung App store!
