Yesterday with the announcement of the Samsung Wave II and Bada OS 1.2, there was a new feature called “Trace” that was mentioned. For the longest time, Bada users have been begging for an official version of Swype to come their phones. Well, it seems like someone is listening. Nuance announced a new method for inputting text on touchscreen phones called, ” T9 Trace”. T9 Trace is similar to Swype in that it allows you to trace your finger across the touchscreen QWERTY keyboard OR 12-digit keypad from one letter to another to spell a word. T9 Trace supports over 70 languages and is integrated with XT9 for predictive text and error correction.
Trace will come with Bada OS 1.2 and should arrive on all devices in the near future. So for all you Swype lovers, this is a great day for you!! For more information and a full list of features, click here to visit Nuance’s official site.
