Polar Mobile has announced that they will be developing and launching apps for the bada mobile platform. According to Polar Mobile’s Chief Executive Kunal Gupta, “Polar will initially launch 30 apps on the bada platform followed by more in the near future.” This announcement comes just months after Polar Mobile launched 500 apps for the Windows Phone 7 platform. Juan Wee, Samsung Canada’s business development manager, said,

“We have always been impressed with the amount of content partnerships they have, which are not only local but global in nature.”

Samsung Canada hasd been working closely with many developers in Canada to deliver quite a few apps to the bada platform but the partnership with Polar Mobile really steps things up. Polar Mobile is a growing company that currently has 200 customers in 10 countries, up from 40 customers in only 2 countries a year ago. Some of the applications Polar has launched in the past for other platforms that you could see on bada includes: Time, Sports Illustrated and CBS Sports.
