Win a Samsung Smart TV with Samsung Apps!

Here at badaforums, we are not just a site that deals only with bada smartphones. We are also now going to start covering Samsung’s Smart TV lineup since they do run Samsung Apps and is speculated to be a modified version of bada. To kick off our more in-depth coverage of Smart TV’s, we thought we would pass along a contest going on right now that will give you a chance to win one!

According to the official Samsung TV facebook page, in order to win a TV all you have to do is:

Like the Samsung Televisions page and begin uncovering your prize in our Like It, Reveal It, Win It contest. Simply choose the boxes you want to uncover and share with your friends so they can do the same. The more boxes you reveal, the sooner you’ll know what top-of-the-line Samsung gear you’ll be entered to win.

So there you have it…just click here to visit Samsung TV’s official facebook page to enter the contest. Best of luck to everyone!

Samsung to extend Bada to its “Smart TV” lineup!

It looks like Samsung sees a big future in the Bada OS not just on smartphones. According to the vice president at Samsung’s visual display division, Kyungsik Kevin Lee, ““We have a plan to have a single platform for Samsung TV and phones.” There is no word yet on when the Bada OS would be ready for Samsung’s TV lineup as developers are still working on it but it is a good that Bada is so flexible.

Samsung’s Lee also said the Korean firm expects its sales of smart TV’s (high-end TV sets) which can be used also for Internet access,  to reach around 5 million sets this year, and to more than double in 2011.

As of right now, users can purchase apps from the Samsung App store and browse the web but I am guessing that Samsung wants to add functionality to its lineup by porting the Bada OS to its lineup.

So Bada OS on your TV?! What do you think about that? Talk about it in our forums!
