USB Always Connected Problem!!!!! *HELP*

Did you try a hard reset? If you did try flashing as you said. If that doesn't work I can't think of anything else. It might be the USB port that is faulty.

that same problem occured on my S8500 also, but i wasn't at home or anything so i tried everything i could think of and the only that actually worked was bending the small flat metal plate inside the usb port a little by presing on it with something small. i don't recommend doing that but it did work for me.

Had this problem for 12 hours after upgrading firmware to Bada 2.0. Coincidence? Tried everything including Factory Reset but the problem always came back after a few minutes.

Cleaning the USB connector seems to work:
Remove the battery.
Get a small piece of lint free material (I used a small piece of dust mask material. Blotting paper might work)
Put a few drops of Head Cleaner (Isopropyl Alcohol) on the material and carefully clean around the centre part of the connector.
Allow to dry for a few minutes.
Replace the battery and switch on
