Back to Bada 1.2 when official Bada 2.0 is released.

Postby TheBusinessman » Fri Aug 26, 2011 6:03 am

Is it necessary that I must downgrade to Bada 1.2 to update to Bada 2.0 through Kies?
I have already downloaded a Bada 1.2 firmware, but it contains a FOTA file. Do I have to use the FOTA file with Multiloader? I think the answer is yes, but I'm not sure about it. And do I have to select Boot Change and Full Download?
I hope someone can answer my question. I'm going to downgrade when the official Bada 2.0 will be released. Until then, I will keep Samfirmware's Bada 2.0. Keep up the good work!

Not sure about the necessity to downgrade, but from what I've heard ur on the safe side if u downgrade beforehand.

Have u ever flashed back to 1.2 ? - My first tries failed because of missing fota file.

If u dont have Fota while downgrading u get a "PLS INSTALL FOTA ENGINE" message when trying to boot 1.2 .

And again not 100% sure but "full download" should be enough since Boot change is covered in Full Download.

Hope this might help u a likkle :)

My friend, according to Badadevelopers forum, Bada 2 is already released..... :silent :crazyeyes
I can't understand what else you are waiting for ?.....
If you don't believe me, just visit Badadevelopers forum and see with your own eyes...
I think they released the update but it will take time from Korea to come us in Europe or the rest of the world... :!: :!:
The data has to pass all the wires through and in the data chaos of million km of wires must find it's way to KIES on our PS's. :wtf

To get the 2.0 update via kies, you will have to downgrade to the region your kies it set to. So if you live in Europe, download the open 1.2 firmware for Europe and flash it and change CSC if you have to if not already preset to your exact country. After that Kies will recognise your phone for future updates.
