my weather widget didnt work either, i just closed it , checkd app settings , opened it and worked fine

I have s8500 and I dont have xeo in the list

nee, odk, xee, tdc, ten, tla, tno, vds, kor so I cant update my phone?

@marse

is your firmware a custom rom? I used the firmware from the pinned thread. check the first page for the link. if you guys are having issues with the weather widget, try to check the settings and manually put the city where you are located. It will search for your city.

this is bogus. Phone still not recognized by Kies after the procedure (Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies) and now got the weather widget problem, alongside with an uncomprehensible language that I have managed to get rid of. Don't do this to your phone!

man are you even reading news or what? XXKL6 is a beta firmware and XXLA1 is now the official firmware(although it has not been released to all regions yet). And the time that I performed this trick, it was working. I even provided a screenshot as a proof. Why would I post something that will not work on my phone? Before you complain for something that isn't working for you, READ and RESEARCH. just my two cents :mrgreen:

anyway, why so bothered that your phone is not recognized for software upgrade when you can just perform the flashing method? People nowadways always want to rant rather than appreciate :think
