Lots of apps!

Hey guys, is it just me or has there really been an increase in apps on SamsungApps for bada? I mean, there are really a lot of apps which I wouldn't have hoped to see a few months ago... Maybe bada isn't as dead as we thought it was.

Well for me its not just the apps.
Its the OS itself.
For example we got ChatOn, but it runs that slow its a pain in the a**.
We made a comparison me and my friend started chaton at the same time, when I was finished loading the app he allread loaded selected me as a contact and typed a message...

Ok he got a S2 and its faster than the Wave but still.
I like the new Kint 2.0 messanger alot buuuut it laggs as hell and its rly bad for a chat app.
Although Multitasking is slow and if u got 2 apps running at the same time bada gets rly slow.
I had great hopes for bada 2 but I kinda have to admit Im disappointed and will now switch to andriod.

ChatOn works buttery smooth for me.

Actually, the new ones don't seem at all shitty! Sure, the old bada 1.0/1.2 apps are pretty bad, MOST of them, but these new ones for 2.0 seem pretty high quality, even the gps apps seem pretty stable and smooth, games are out of the question! Some games like space escape, etc are amazing. Who thought we'd ever have Sims 3 or Asphalt 6 a couple of months ago? I see an improvement, and I think developers do too. Maybe bada isn't lost JUST yet.

I totally agree. Most of the 2.0 apps are good. Best part is most of them are free.

Point is, we shouldn't give up on bada just yet, I mean, if developers eye bada out, maybe it still has a chance. Rovio already brought Angry Birds to bada, I see Gameloft hasn't given up just yet either, hell, even EA still makes a game once in a while. Themes are starting to look amazing, plus customizability pretty much skyrocketed with the addition of folders, new widgets, icons on the screen, etc. Sure Samsung support is a b****, but don't think it's too different for Android, I mean everyone complains about lacks of updates from Samsung. Android has also been around for like 5-6 years(the non-official, non customer-oriented beta version, read up if you don't believe me)while bada celebrates its 2 year anniversary this month. It's in its 2.0 version while Android just went up to 4.0.4, with COUNTLESS updates(all delivered late by Samsung). You can't really compare the two, same goes for iOS. I'm not saying bada is amazing, but maybe we shouldn't throw our phones out and yell "ANDROID" just yet.
