I can't connect Wave to Kies?

I have a question: How can I uprgade Wave firmware without Kies? I have iMac and Kies is only from Windows. I can sometimes use Win computer but that is not always available.

I installed earlier today Kies on my win computer. I tried connect my Wave, but Kies can't find it.

I close all programs and widgets and then I connect cable to my phone and choose Samsung Kies mode. I tried that 3 times, but that didn't work.

I tried to search from Google but I didn't find anything what help me.

Can anybody help me?! Now I have "bada 1.0" "1005201728LISJEE" on my Wave.

KIES is a bit buggy sometimes... Do you have latest KIES (upgrades enabled)? There was a version of KIES with that bug.

Also, try this:
1) make sure KIES is not running (close it)
2) make sure Wave is disconnected from PC
3) switch mode to USB Debugging
4) go back to main Wave screen
5) go back to Settings on the Wave and switch back to Samsung Kies mode on the phone
6) power down phone
7) power up phone
8) launch KIES on your PC
9) connect your phone via USB to PC

see if those steps help.

Also, what version of Windows do you have?

on first connection - make sure u take out any micro sd disk inserted....take that out - make sure all programs/widgets etc are closed (hold down main middle key on the wave to end apps) and then reconnect ur cable....then it will detect..once it has detected once like that it will detect each time with the micro sd in... good luck

my guess is that your MTP Device did not install properly when you plugged in your USB.. you can either Plug your Phone Via USB to your Computer(Dont open Kies yet)>Right Click "My Computer">Properties>Device Manager>Right Click MTP Device>Reinstall Driver, OR you could install Windows Media Player V10 or 11, because they both have MTP device Drivers on their setups..(i think )

i updated to bada 1.2 through manual flash. but now i am not able to connect to kies through usb cable. I can connect through bluetooth but in that case samsung apps doesnt detect my phone I checked in regedit and Stune and found the product key, s/w revision etc are same for matching. However the phone connected to kies once through usb yesterday out of blue and samsung apps also recognized it but never after that. Please help.

hello, and I have a problem like yours, then update to bada 1.2 do not recognize the usb. you how to fix it.

In your wave go to Menu -> settings -> Connectivity -> USB -> USB Debugging.

Same problem here
Wave is not detected by Kies on my XP pro 32-bit and Kies does not open at all on Win 7 32-bit
