Bada to Android

Postby nismo034 » Sun Jul 04, 2010 1:49 am

Its pointless using Bada the apps just arent out there and when new and good apps come out such as swype you'll probably be waiting forever before they come to Bada.

So..... how do I get ANDROID on my Samsung Wave s8500!!!!!!!!!!!

Need ANDROID!!

You won't and can't get Android on your Samsung Wave. The only chance is if someone wants to try cracking it but I'll tell you right now that is probably not on anyone's current "to do" list and would take a long time to overcome and get running smooth. Your stuck with Bada, give it time, the phone has been out for a very short amount of time and not even in North America until this week which will open the door to developers and their interest in the platform.

Samsung and any company know that if you want a chance in this OS market it's all about applications.

If you want a phone with Android, my best suggestion would be to buy a phone with android.

This may not be the worlds most friendly advice, but don't buy a cat in a bag.
It is very clear and obvious that a complete new OS will have limited support and apps at the very beginning. It's not even released worldwide yet.

T9 Trace (Swype lookalike) is present on bada 1.2. Upgrade to this version is not available in India yet. It will come; but would take some time. You may, however, choose to proceed to flash your phone with bada 1.2., but it has its risks.
You can change the app store to another country in Kies. You get an option to choose the country when you install Kies.
