Why not delete the "Thank's Given" meter?

This might be Silly but why do we have a "Thanks Given" button? I think this is restricting the members to use the Thanks button. Many of them wont like the Thanks Given meter to be higher than Thanks Recieved meter. What do you guys think?

i think its better to ask @Dane if it is even possible to hide it because maybe its part of the thanks system.

I could remove it but I think its nice. It lets everyone see who is thankful and who has received thanks. But if enough of you guys want it removed I can remove it

I like the idea of the like option instead of thanks, but I wouldnt want users to get confused and think its the facebook like.
