yes there is a way buddy i have done that several times

the theme which you download for wave s8500 .

has a .smt file extension

step 1

change the extension to .smt to .rar in this way it would become as a winrar file and click to open

step 2
make or download any wave s525 or any low resolution bada theme
and again change its file extension from .smt to .rar in this way this wave s525 theme also becomes a winrar file

now the real work

step 3

open both the rar files (1.wave s8500 and 2.waves525) and then copy the selected menu icons like youtube, call log , keypad etc into wave s525 rar folder (just select and drag dont extract!) also dont replace battery icons and signal and tab colour icons ..rest all menu icons can be replaced !

enjoy!!!!

what about making transparent notification bar, just like in vivekforbes's 'lively' theme? is it possible to have one in 533? 533 still hadn't been updated to bada 1.2 (it has v1.1)

its not about firmware. theme designers need to include transparent notification bar in their themes..

unfortuneately it doesn't look like on S8500. basic obstacle is that current version of 533's bada doesn't support solutions which occurs in their 'main' device like changeable background colour in menu or transparent notification bar.. i hope that samsung won't forget about S5300 users and relase ASAP new version to our phones.
