With Samsung being the top vendor of smartphones in the world and having a strong presense in the United States with the Galaxy S Android lineup being so popular, it is easy to understand why Samsung hasn’t introduced bada in the United States. From a business perspective, it comes down to dollars and cents and with Android carrying the load, Samsung is riding with it. However, I do think it is a mistake for Samsung not to to give bada a chance in the States. See my reasons why after the break….

1. Whether you think so or not, there IS a market for bada in the United States. With iOS and Android reigning king in the United States, one might think bada would be a tough sell. I do not think that would be the case. Samsung’s platform has a lot going for it that the others do not. Bada is a secure platform aimed mainly at those who are coming from a feature phone to a smartphone for the first time therefore, the prices are very low. You get a ton of features for less money which is always a good thing. Bada 2.0 is very smooth, fluid, and secure as well…something that cannot be said with Android. Bada also offers a unique user experience that I think would many Americans would enjoy who have become bored with the normal Android and iOS love-fest going on. Someone who just wants to get work done, communicate, and not worry about OS updates coming every week would enjoy bada.
