A Samsung Wave…Hood? Necktie?…Seriously?!

Samsung Wave Fashion

The folks over at AskGSM posted some funky pictures of clothes made for the Samsung Wave. It kind of gives new meaning to the carrying case or the phone clip. This is just a concept (thank God) but I still do not think it will ever see the light of day in store because well, it is just plain horrible. The hood and “pouch” (I call it a necktie) was designed by fashion mastermind Ben Wu. The clothes were exhibited at the Audi Fashion Festival in Singapore.

Bada OS + Super AMOLED = SUPER PHONE!

Ok, so by now, anyone who follows the tech world and especially Samsung knows about the AMOLED screens found on new devices like the Rogue for Verizon Wireless. These screens are absolutely insane in terms of color, picture quality, and how vivid it makes things look. Well, with the introduction of the Wave running the new Bada platform, Samsung also introduced a new technology called, “Super AMOLED” which is supposed to make the phones screen even more stunning than before but will also help it not fade in sunlight which has been a problem for the TFT, OLED and AMOLED screens. In order to do this, Samsung basically “cut out the middle man” and have now combined the touch sensitive grid into the screen itself which allows for less glass on the phone and increases the clarity and color of the screen and decreases blurring when playing back video. The other cool thing about the new Super AMOLED screen is that it saves power which leads to increased battery life (thank you!).
